The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association had almost 200 people attend Ranch Gatherings in Livingston and Gonzales this week. Attendees heard information on protecting themselves from theft, legislative and regulatory issues facing ranchers, and an update on the Texas Beef Checkoff. Attendees were encouraged to provide comments on the proposed EPA Waters of the US Rule. Everyone enjoyed a great beef meal provided by Novartis Animal Health. Special thanks to Mark Currie, Polk County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Agent, for his support of our event in Livingston. Thanks to Mike Manning for being our emcee and host in Gonzales. Sponsors included Novartis Animal Health, Capital Farm Credit, Crystalyx Brand Supplements, Wortham Insurance and Risk Management, Boehringer-Ingelheim Vetmedica and ADM Alliance Nutrition.
