Fort Worth, Texas – Joe Parker Jr., immediate past president of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, released the following statement today following the passing of TSCRA President Clay Birdwell.
“It’s with a very heavy heart that we say goodbye to TSCRA President Clay Birdwell. Clay was a dear friend, strong leader and a true Texas cattleman. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, especially his wife, children and grandchildren during this difficult time.
“Clay was a successful and respected rancher, feedyard owner, and businessman who dedicated his life to serving his family and the cattle industry.
“Clay will be truly missed by all of us at TSCRA. He has left a lasting impression on our association and even more so, the entire cattle industry. ”
