Reward Offered for Cattle Thefts in Mason and Kimble Counties

For Immediate Release: Aug. 13 , 2012
Contact: Carmen Fenton, 512-469-0171
Fort Worth, Texas – The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) and CA Cattle Co. in Mason, Texas, are offering a $2,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and indictment of suspects involved in the theft of cattle from the CA Cattle Co. Ranch, the WW Cattle Co. Ranch, and the Lex Lehmberg Ranch in Mason County.
The thefts date back to December 2011 up to March 2012. Each theft occurred within a 10-mile area in Mason and Kimble counties. In addition to these thefts, authorities also believe the suspects are responsible for penning cattle for possible theft on 3 other ranches.
TSCRA Special Ranger Max Hartman says that TSCRA and the Mason and Kimble County Sheriff’s Offices are actively investigating the case and believe the same suspect or suspects are responsible for all 3  thefts.
Any individual with information regarding these crimes should contact TSCRA’s Operation Cow Thief hotline at 888-830-2333, TSCRA Special Ranger Max Hartmann at 830-997-7585, the Mason County Sheriff’s Office at 325-347-5252 or the Kimble County Sheriff’s Office at 325-446-2766. Individuals reporting information may choose to remain anonymous.
