Marylee Jones Boyd

Marylee Jones Boyd, of Abilene, died Oct 1, 2018. She was 78.

Boyd was born on Jan. 22, 1940, in Muskogee, Okla., to Ossie L. and Mary (Mounts) Jones. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in education. She married Jim Boyd on Dec. 21, 1959 in Stillwater, Okla. She worked as a real estate agent with Re/Max for over 15 years. She was a member of the Christian Women’s Club and the Los Aficionados.

Marylee Jones Boyd was preceded in death by one sister and one brother. Survivors include her husband, Jim, of Abilene; one son, James (Karen) Boyd, of Abilene; one sister, Saundra (Joe) Cookson, of Fort Gibson, Okla.; four grandchildren, Karen (Jeff) Appleget, of Sheridan, Ark.; Emily Boyd, of Tucson, Ariz.; Justin (Kassie) Boyd, of Round Rock; Sara (Jeff) Loftin of Dallas; and five great-grandchildren, Jackson Appleget, Lauren Appleget, Emerson Appleget, Nevalea Seals and Clara Loftin.

Memorials be made to a charity of one’s choice.
