ABC News settles with South Dakota meat producer in defamation suit

The Associated Press is reporting that ABC News has reached a settlement with a South Dakota meat producer suing for defamation over finely textured beef. Beef Products Inc. had filed a more than $1 billion lawsuit against the network over its reports on the company’s lean, finely textured beef product that critics dubbed “pink slime.” Read more…
