TSCRA Director Tom Haynie Speaks Out on Proposed High-Speed Train

KBTX News recently visited with TSCRA Animal Health Committee Chairman, Tom Haynie, about the Texas Central Railway, a high-speed train that is being proposed from Dallas to Houston. The railway is expected to go through his property in Navasota, TX, limiting land access. TSCRA is opposed to the use of eminent domain for construction of the Texas Central Railway.
Opposition continues to grow in Grimes County as private developers continue to push a high speed train project. Texas Central, the company responsible for the proposal, hosted an informational meeting Saturday in Navasota. The proposed Houston to Dallas high-speed rail promises a 90-minute trip between cities. Many land owners in Grimes County say the project would be devastating to their lifestyle. Read more and watch the news video here.
