Big attendance at TSCRA Ranch Gatherings in South Texas

More than 350 members, ranchers and guests attended TSCRA Ranch Gatherings in Fowlerton, Placedo and Corpus Christi this week. Attendees enjoyed a beef dinner, catching up with old friends, making new ones, and hearing from speakers about issues important to cattle raisers and landowners.
Speakers at the Fowlerton event included Jason Bagley, Texas Beef Council, who talked about the Texas beef checkoff and TSCRA Special Ranger Robin Clark, who gave an update on law enforcement activities in the area. The group also heard from TSCRA’s Jason Skaggs, executive director of government and public affairs, who gave a legislative update and TSCRA First Vice President Richard Thorpe, who talked about the benefits of being a member of the association.
Special thanks go to the Donnell family for hosting the event and providing a great meal.
The HK Ranch hosted the gathering in Placedo, where attendees heard from Special Ranger Gary Baros for a law enforcement update; Kaleb McLaurin, director of government affairs, with a legislative update, and Richard Thorpe about membership benefits.
Big thanks go to Claude Koontz, and to Tom and Mary Sue Nelson for hosting the event.
The Corpus Christi Yacht Club was the location of the last gathering of the week on Thursday evening. That event’s attendees received updates from Special Ranger Steve Martin on law enforcement activities in their area and Jason Bagley, Texas Beef Council, on the Texas beef checkoff program. Association leaders Eldon White, executive vice president and CEO gave a legislative update and Director Dave Delaney gave the membership message.
