COMANCHE, TEXAS – Additional charges were handed down to two Comanche County men arrested for cattle theft Wednesday. TSCRA Special Ranger Doug Hutchison is working the investigation.
On Aug. 19, Billy Jack Glover, 48, and Michael Chance Ward, 26, allegedly stole two head of cattle from a rancher in Comanche County and sold them to Capital Land and Livestock in Schwertner, Texas.
The suspects were charged Sept. 8 after allegedly stealing 4 head of cattle at a different time from the same rancher.
Glover and Ward are held at the Comanche County jail in Comanche, Texas. Bond has been set at $50,000 each.
Through the course of the initial investigation, Hutchison discovered the thieves had stolen more cattle earlier from the same rancher bringing the total of stolen cattle to six head. The investigation is still ongoing and more cattle could be at large.
