Reward increased for Johnson and Ellis Co. thefts

On Feb. 21, Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) Special Ranger H.D. Brittain reported the theft of cattle near the Johnson and Ellis County line. Stolen some time between Feb. 15 and 17 were 8 mostly black cows branded with a turkey track on their left hip and 9 unbranded calves weighing approximately 500 pounds.

This is the third theft of this type that has happened in the same general area since Jan. 1, 2012.

TSCRA is investigating this case in conjunction with the Johnson, Ellis and Tarrant County Sheriff’s departments.
