KFOR talks to victim of Oklahoma theft case

A Missouri man is behind bars due to a 3-year investigation that included Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) Special Rangers, the Oklahoma City Economic and Identity Crimes Task Force, which is sponsored by the U.S. Secret Service, and the Payne County Sheriff’s Office. Worms may be cutting into quail numbers

Since 2006, the state’s bobwhite quail population has seen a 90 percent decline. While no one is certain why it’s happening or what is responsible, researchers might be closing in on the cause: parasitic worms. Dr. Dale Rollins, professor, Extension wildlife specialist and director of the Rolling Plains Quail Research Ranch, is also asking hunters of wild bobwhite quail taken during the remainder of this season to please consider donating the heads for worm screening. USDA introduces start2farm.gov to support America’s future farmers and ranchers

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and USDA’s National Agricultural Library, in partnership with the American Farm Bureau Federation, announced Thursday Start2farm.gov, a new online portal that helps to provide assistance for beginning farmers and ranchers. The portal includes links to training, financing, technical assistance and other support services specifically for beginning farmers and ranchers, as well as successful case studies about new and beginning farmers and ranchers.
