TSCRA special rangers met with officials from the Texas Forest Service (TFS) at TFS headquarters in College Station Wednesday to discuss the ongoing effort to improve communication during wildfires. The groups are working together to improve landowner and firefighter communication during large, complex wildfires by incorporating TSCRA’s rangers into the state command structure.
Larry Gray, TSCRA executive director of law enforcement, along with TSCRA Special Ranger Supervisors Hal Dumas, Jimmy Dickson, Sonny Seewald, Scott Williamson and TSCRA Special Ranger Max Hartmann all participated in the joint meeting.
