FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Come join the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) for a ranch gathering Friday, Oct. 14, at RY Livestock Sales in Rio Grande City. The gathering will begin at 5:30 p.m. with registration followed by a beef dinner and presentations.
“TSCRA ranch gatherings are a great place for folks to get together and discuss what is going on in the cattle business and how they can help,” said Joe Parker Jr., rancher and TSCRA president. “These gatherings aren’t just for TSCRA members. Anyone interested in the cattle industry is invited to attend.”
The event will include a presentation on theft issues along the Texas-Mexico border by TSCRA Special Ranger Roland Garcia.
Officials with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) will also inform attendees on government grant programs for ranchers who lost livestock and fences during the recent drought.
